| The primary mission of Stonington Cruising Club is to plan, organize and facilitate a comprehensive cruising program for its members. This is intended to be a well-thought-out, safe and enjoyable experience for members who enjoy sailing to harbors on the East Coast from Maine to Chesapeake Bay. Cruises to Maine are three or four weeks in duration and are conducted on alternate years. During non-Maine years, cruises to the islands along the New England coast or to Chesapeake Bay are arranged. Weekend cruises to local harbors in Narragansett Bay, Buzzards Bay, the forks of Long Island and other destinations within a day or two of Stonington often are arranged during the boating season. |

| SCC Cruise Destinations A start has been made to archive a series of SCC Harbor Fact Sheets, initially making use of Ken Packie's excellent 2007 Annual Cruise Handbook. A number of Fact Sheets have been scanned and converted to pdf files, and are available via the link below for reading, or printing to take with you. The initial batch of Fact Sheets covers a number of the destinations to be visited on the early August "not-so-distant" cruise to the Elizabeth Islands and beyond, and includes Quisset, Martha's Vineyard, Cuttyhunk and Newport. Volunteers to research and prepare additional Fact Sheets would be very much appreciated! - contact booth.delphinus@gmail.com to volunteer. <to view pdf files of Fact Sheets click Here> |
